Do women want to be treated as equals in a relationship?

When I look for women or a partner I don't look for someone who will be dependant on me but a willing equal to me in life yet I know what I would feel unhappy if I felt like my partner depended on me for a lot of things in life within reason. Like I would not want to deprive her or her freedom to do as she pleases because freedom to me means so much. I am not one too enslave another but trust and communication is a key aspect to anything.

Yes a relationship should be equal, especially in this day and age where relationships are really are all a choice and someone choosing you should be a delight for you enough to understand that if someone has a choice, you should treat them as equal.
