I don't just believe in it, I know it. It's absolutely true in my case. I actually met my wife through my very close female friend. She's the woman with Indian descent on my cover page (my wife's the one in the bunny ears).

She's with her husband in that picture from several years ago but we've been friends since our 20s when we were both single. Initially I asked her out on a date but she turned me down and told me she only dates Hindu guys so we became best friends instead and she became like a little sister to me.

So she's a blatant example of a fantastic and extremely fun friend (she's also extremely loyal as a friend even though she's somehow so lacking in devotion to her dates) but one I'd never want as a girlfriend.

Besides that, I don't crush easily. I reached a point where I have to get very intimate with a woman and repeatedly to start developing romantic feelings towards her, and I wouldn't get intimate like that with a woman I only considered a friend.
