I don't think I could do it again in this lifetime and I'm not speaking romantically or idealistically, just very practically.

I'm sure at least some people are getting tired of how often I speak glowingly of my wife on here, but it's not just that she's a great person in general. She's a great person specifically for me, and that's such a small percentage of women given my quirks that I genuinely think I'm as lucky as someone who won an epic lottery and this is the analyst side of me thinking, not the idealist.

I'm an oddball, I'm clumsy, absent-minded, stubborn to a fault, have a bizarre sense of humor, head often in the clouds, can't stop talking once I start, overshare and get TMI a lot, think out loud and lack much of a filter except for a modicum of practiced tact, horrible at time management, etc. It's not exactly the type of thing that many women want to put up with for the rest of their lives; I can charm some subset on first impressions but it's another thing to deal with me all the time every single day.

So to have found a wife of exceptional moral character who not only tolerates it but seems to love it really does make me one of the luckiest of guys as I see it. I might need at least dozens of lifetimes otherwise to find another one so compatible.

Currently single, however from looking back over various relationships, a day to about 6 months. That is for a partner that you consider a partner and not just dating, as dates are not what I would consider having a partner. A lot is pure luck and the rest is just avoiding social media and more luck lol

Going with a combination of two and three and saying it's nearly impossible. Alone building up a relationship with someone else, comparable to ours would take years. That excludes the process of finding someone in the first place.

I don't doubt that you get hit on. I just question whether a guy would actually want to partner up with a woman with as many kids as you have (and having three also applies). I doubt this guy actually wanted to do that- he probably just wanted to have sex with you, and I think that would be the case with any guy you'd meet if you and hubby split up.

You'd better hold on to hubby- he's great guy if he's supporting you while you stay home with the kids.

I'd never do it. If my wife left me or died, I just have no desire to have anyone else in my life. Dating would kill me with the status of it right now.. Replacing as in just to fill in the slot of girlfriend would not take long. But if it's going to be the right girl for me, that would be a whole different story.

It depends on your circumstances. If I was young and broke up with a girlfriend, I could get another one fairly quickly.

But at this point in my life, there would be no way to replace my wonderful wife.

I didn't want to get married until I was 30. Took me 7 years to secure my wife. Guess if I had to put in the effort and beginning the roller coaster of dating, getting to know someone etc. At least another 7-10 years.
