It can be the birthday of a guy I had a crush on when I was in highschool. I still remember that, why?

Trending & News first day of high-school... such a great day that day, easily top 10 best days in my life
anyway, among many other great things... I brought just one pencil to school, nothing else... and mostly to fidget around with it, I clearly remember dropping it three times and it never landed on the tip nor it broke... and I was glad about that as much as I was pissed off about dropping things
also the 9th highest mountain in the world is called the Naked Mountain and the 9th largest river was called Zaire, which literally mean river... River River...
@NathanDavis
Exactly! Yep, stuff like that. Isn't it weird how the brain does that?
I like that it is that way... lol
Yeah, but thankfully I replace those with actually useful things, that I pick up on my way.
Sadly I forget even useful information in the process.
I don't need any fucking poems or trigonometry. I need to know how to replace Android with something else e. g. LineageOS. Replace Windows with Archlinux. Replace being broke with becoming rich.

Yes, that's why I've always been good at Trivial Pursuit.
Did you know that if you stewed kumquats like applesauce it tastes more like rhubarb than rutabaga does?
@FunkyMonkee
I've never had the foods you mentioned.
You're good at Trivial pursuit but I'm not. I cut school too much to know those answered.
I'm really good at playing the TV game show Family Feud.
My boyfriend was so good at the TV game so Jeopardy. You have to be pretty smart to answer those questions. I always wondered where he learned so much information. Unbelievable!
Dad quit school in the 6th grade and was still VERY good with crossword puzzles but, there were a number of things he couldn't answer and I'd check the puzzle and put the answers in or, he'd say the clue out loud and I'd just rattle off the answer and, they were NOT easy questions! Quite often, I'd just use logic. watching a lot of t. v,. and movies as a kid also brought my IQ up quite a bit as did my being a record collector. I could probably do well at Jeopardy, too, if it wasn't expected of me to come up with the answers before anybody else. Had I been on, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" I could've probably won dozens of times!
I think it happens all of us actually because I have a lot of useless information stored from way back but stuff that’s not too long ago. I have a hard time remembering
@Likes2drive
Ya know, almost every one I know or talk to has this hard to remember things thing.
Personally I think it's from the COVID vaccines. In time everyone around me that got the vax slowly showing signs of not being able to remember like they used to - me included. I used to be sharp as a tack now I barely get by. It's sad. I miss my mind.
Well, in my case, it’s been like that way before Covid. I just get stuck on certain things and just contributed to age or not being in school and always reading but if you’re always reading a book, they say that really helps your mind and also a lot of walking, which I do do a lot of that.
I just remembered something i learned in 9th grade English class.
useless info like what?
