+1 yMost guys are know are married or were. Majority stay married. Quite a few single guys I know are dating.
It depends how they are raised... environment they are in. You wouldn't swim in a swimming pool that is filled with algea slime would you? Don't try to find husband in a cesspool...

Absolutely, many men are on the lookout for that special someone to commit to in a long-term relationship or marriage. It's like searching for that missing puzzle piece that fits just right. Love, security, companionship – you name it, a lot of guys are dreaming about it. Think of it as their own personal quest for their "happily ever after." 🏰💖 Sure, just like anyone, men might have their list of fears and desires, and understanding those is key. It’s not about Prince Charming riding in on his white horse; it’s about genuine connection, shared dreams, and that spark that makes every day together an adventure. So, strap in, because many men are definitely ready for that ride into the sunset! 🌅💑

Good. She can keep you from being forced into an old folks home. But from what l have heard, old folk homes are nothing more than a “house of ill repute”.

@Peter_Penetrator I am nowhere near ready for an old folks' home. I still work full-time and lead an active life.
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYes. But only with a woman worthy of it. This is probably the single biggest misunderstood fact about men that women make. Women think she is the ONLY one taking a risk when it comes to dating. a lot of women erroneously think a man doesn't want anything longterm or serious (assuming she chose a good man. Which a lot of women don't even get that right). When the reality is he does. But only a woman he cab truly build with.
And just like women feel they're under NO obligation to tell a man if she's attracted to him or why. A man is under NO obligation to explain if he views her as a woman worth building with or not (though if she's observant the clues are very apparent).
Welcome to the wonderful world of dating. Enjoy your stay.😆

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThose of us who already are certainly do. those of us who haven't gotten married are either too young to find someone willing to take them with their issues or don't want to.
Which is why if your courting a guy in his 30's already you need to ask what kept him on the market.10 Reply9.9K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Men of quality who have their life together do. The other basket cases will just have to stick with being bitter and miserable forever.

+1 yMarriage. I want my children to be raised by married parents in a traditional household. Not a "modern long term relationship" where either parent (or partner if there's no kids yet) could just leave with no repercussion and no real commitment. It's a bad example to set for your kids on his relationships should be

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yDefinitely fewer now than in the past. I mean I think most guys want the marriage that their parents or grandparents had, but that seem more and more to be a thing of the past. Half of marriages end in divorce, women file 80% of divorces and men get screwed in divorce court. That's not very appealing to an increasing number of men, myself included. Tbh most guys don't trust women with marriage anymore.

u +1 yYes. There are many of us who do. I am married.
10 Reply Absolutely. Are they sure with precisely which girl? Usually not.

Oooh interesting… how do they narrow down on the girl?
- +1 y
Well, first there is the attraction level, but that doesn't lock it down more than "someone they would like to date" (sometimes there's "love at first sight", where the guy will go relatively insane for the right welcoming smile, that's good for a guarenteed interest; If a guy can imagine the girl / smile and their children thats a very strong probability of deep interests following). Secondly, there's the personality match up, which is very individualistic. Some prefering a quieter girl, some prefering one whos more sociable. Then there's always the X factor, which each guy knows for themselves, something that really clicks with them, I'd say for me it being a bodily match for me (I guess that goes under chemical / sexual attraction, it's little things that guys realise over time makes the difference between maybe and definitely).
- +1 y
That said, I don't think any guy knows for certain going in, usually. That said, after a guy has chosen to spend a significant amount of time with a particular girl, sharing with them at the interpersonal level (e. g. getting to truly know how each other ticks) they will usually either be completely sure or infinitely uncertain about how they see them regarding marriage); if the girl has a past though which under-mines something the guys looking for, they might be uncertainly-certain [meaning they might know the girl is perfect but be in perpetual doubt knowing some pre-condition they always dreamed of would need to be dropped if choosing that girl, and this would make them doubt even their certainty and wonder if another girl had that factor AND the personality / connection]).
Now, all of the above to some degree I can relate to personally, but the below is what I've observed with people I've met though my various jobs over the years:
Still, other guys yet, just do their best to sleep their way around all the girls that will have them and rulet style into the relationship that lasts (and usually the girl whos most willing to put up with their continious infidelity); Usually because they can get away with it. Though usually by the time they settle down it's more of a "their done with sex" thing for those guys (I observe). - +1 y
I appreciate you explaining!! Thank you
