So I like Y (25m). I don’t think Y knows because I’m not very open about things like that. I met Y through his friend Z (26m). I hooked up with Z about 4 years ago but I never liked him more than a friend while he on the other hand had feelings for me for a while. There was once a time were Y tried to hook up with me 2 years ago (he even made Z leave his house and he was crying) and I said ew that’s gross. Afterwards Y never tried to make any advances on me. Y has always done things that made me wonder if he had any feelings for me like because he remembers all the little details about myself, things I don’t even remember I’ve said, I always catch him staring at me and whenever we’re in a group he always tells me to tell him something since he thinks everyone else is boring. Recently though it has been a little strange so I see Y every other week since he truck drives and he has started calling me while he’s on the road and gets angry when I talk about other guys. My female friend once liked Y and Z told her something along the lines of that he only likes me. We were quite confused. The most alarming thing that has me curious is he never wants for me to leave and when I do I will have 15-20 missed calls. The other day I took a nap during the day and woke up to 15 missed calls from Y and he then proceed to call my friend and ask where I was. Am I misinterpreting something or does he maybe like me?

From what you described, it really does sound like Y might actually have feelings for you. That level of attention and wanting to know where you are/who you're with all the time is a big sign. I can think of a few possibilities:

- He's definitely interested in you romantically but is shy/nervous to actually ask you out since you turned him down before.

- He gets jealous seeing you with other guys and wants you for himself, even if he hasn't outright said it.

- Maybe all this time after you rejecting him, he's been hoping you'd change your mind and give him a chance.

The fact that even Z implied Y only likes you is another clue. I'd say you should find a way to have a direct conversation with Y alone, and let him know how you feel too. See how he responds when you're upfront. If he likes the idea of you guys together, you should give it a shot since the feelings seem mutual. What's the worst that could happen, right? You like him too, so go for it girl!
