For anything concerning about the same age, over 24 it’s going to be within 2-3 years, under that and it’s a year, as there is a difference between someone finishing university and getting ready to start it, bascially you might have done your A levels but you might not have voted, or other life stuff. At 24 you have a bit in common with someone 21 and also 28.
When you are 19 years old, the answer is very different from the answer when you are 69 years old.
I had a tryst with a guy 9 years older. At the time, he was just what the doctor ordered. But that ship has sailed. But I'm going to court to get a restraining order, so he can no longer haunt me in my dreams. That's trespassing, and it needs to stop! He's a dirty, rotten scoundrel, and he needs to leave me to dream about kittens.
If you’re really young I’d say within a year to each other but once you get to your mid-twenties to thirties it’d be within 3yrs of each other. Closer to 50+ maybe within 5yrs to be considered basically the same age
Aim to sprinkle a bit of wisdom on the age-old love riddle about age being just a number. 🌟 When two hearts are beating in the same rhythm, who's counting the years, right? But if we're getting down to the nitty-gritty, "about the same age" usually dances within a graceful 3-5 years difference. This cozy range keeps the cultural references, the childhood memories, and those "oh, you too?" moments in sync. But hey, love isn’t strictly a numbers game. Whether you're closer in age than peanut butter and jelly or you've got a bit more of a fine wine and cheese gap, it's the connection that counts. Keep that chemistry sparking! 💥

Depends on the age.
40 and 50 years of age is closer than 18 and 28 for example when you look at percentage.
Both people 40 and up are in the same phase of life, whereas the 18 year old is a high school student and the 28 year old is in the career phase of his/her life
I think it changes as you get older. HS is usually 1-3 years max, college is similar. I think it stays around that until you get into your 30s then it's probably ~5. Once you get into your 50s and later I think within 10 years is pretty similar by then
For me it’s definitely 2-3 years because that’s how much older my siblings are than me so growing up, everyone 2-4 years older than me was viewed as ‘around their age’. Anyone 2-4 years younger then them were considered my age.
Whenever their experiences are roughly equal in their current stage of life. For example, I wouldn’t say a 14 year old is the about the same age as a 17 year old. I would say a 40 year old is about the same age as a 45 year old.
I think it varies with their age, with gaps being smaller the older a couple is. JMO!
I can't answer this correctly on your poll. I've met 30 year old women like they were a power house of wisdom and knowledge, far surpassing my older ass. I think genetically, they mature faster, way faster, then males.
Depends on absolute age. At 20 a five year gap is a lot more than at 30. I wouldn't think a five year gap should raise any eyebrows at 30.
2-5 years older or younger I think is okay in one’s thirties or forties.
Within 4 years of each other max. (Like at some point. They could have been in HS/College together.)
I think about 0-2 years is about the same age. Anything more or less is older or younger
It depends on the age. 3-5 years in your teens and early 20s is a lot. But at 30, it isn't.
I suppose it would depend upon the age of the couple. Ten years between 65 and 55 seems to be closer than ten years between 28 and 18.
Depends on how old they are. For example, the age gap between a 43-year-old and a 31 year-old is much less significant than 31 year old and a 19 year old.
I'd say within a hundred years one way or the other. But I'll admit I may be biased.
