If a man already knows I'm not in love with him, then no one is using each other right?

I've been in contact with my friend (27 M) from my early college years since Sept of last year. He recently offered me to take me to Canada. He has both the US and Canada passports. He was born in New Jersey but his parents are Canadians. He's back to Canada; stays there from time to time, comes and goes. Even though he admitted to having some feelings for me, he knows I'm not in love with him and we're just doing this process as a pact. To make it more realistic, we'll spend some time together and take as many pictures as position, then time to date for 6 months at least and then proceed with the sponsorship application.

At the same time, I'm tired of the dating world and I have no patience anymore to start all over from zero. He is my shortcut and I'm his shortcut too. I've already accepted his offer.

I think several people have made this pact in the past and sometimes they can even come to loving each other on the way and form a family. So whatever. I've already accepted it and not changing my mind. If he knows I'm not in love with him (I made that very clear) but doesn't mind and still offered me the deal, no one is using each other right?

He hasn't offered anyone else that, just me.

I'm going to help him with some money for that paperworks too.
