I live with my mom becuase no guy wants to be my boyfriend and husband and ask for you want to live with me?
😔 I think I’ll be 30-40 and stuck living forever with mom.
Anonymous(45 Plus)1 ySo that’s the only reason you live w your mom? Because it’s men’s fault they don’t want you so you’re in the situation you are. Not because you didn’t aspire to make things better for yourself? To hold yourself accountable for your current status? I haven’t lived w my mom since I was 18.

Opinion Owner1 yDoesn’t sound like much of a family tradition. I think they may have set you up for failure in a way. Especially in today’s society, not everyone wants to get married.
Opinion Owner1 yOk but do you think that was because of your parents? Because honestly how are you supposed to meet men? It doesn’t sound like they really let you go out on your own. If so of course it would be hard for men to meet you these days if you’re not out in public.
Opinion Owner1 yWhich isn’t true. Because even now following what they say for you to do you still don’t have a boyfriend. In the end it’s going to be you who has to live this life, not that.
Opinion Owner1 ySo do things look good so far w this man?

Most single guys I have talked to live with their mom still. And that's guys from 20 upto like 37.
Most older guys say it's because they "lost everything " after a break up so move back home.
I'm in UK tho and trying to earn enough to support yourself is HARD. Tho I'd still prefer a man gets a room in a shared house rather than live at home.

Alone thank God! Narcissistic mother, micromanaging strict parents, psychological abuse, some physical abuse, parents record me naked on camera, shamed and accuse me (said I couldn't use tampons cause i would use them as a sex toy which i didn't know toys like those even existed due to extreme lack of sex ed they provided), etc.

I live with a friend.
You need to take control over your situation and break away the chains your parents put on you. The way they taught you is obviously not true and is not actually helping you.
Break your chains, be free & realize that humanity isn't lorded over by prudes. You are in charge of your destiny.

Navigating the dating scene can feel like a rollercoaster, complete with unexpected loops, but here's a cheeky thought for you: living with your mom doesn't have to be the plot twist in your love story! It's super common these days, especially with how crazy the world has been. What matters most is the lovebombing you do for yourself. Focus on building your fabulous life, sprinkle in some self-love, and embrace your living situation. Love has a knack for finding us when we least expect it, often when we're just rocking our thing. So, who knows? The tide might turn sooner than you think, and your solo adventures could transform into a duo quest. Keep those spirits high, and never underestimate the power of a plot twist in your own epic tale.

1 yI understand living with family no matter your age if rent is super duper high. I properly moved out when I was 26, and trust me, moving out because YOU chose to (and not because of marital reasons) is liberating. It is not embarrassing, or I don't think so at least, but I do if you can, try to move out if you want to.

@Anilkumar3277 I’ve been struggling with temporary jobs for a few weeks just to pay the rent. I’m not going to beg anyone for help; I’ll manage somehow, but it’s really irritating. And those endless recruitment processes. And then it’s always "we found a better candidate," which means a cheaper one.
