1 yWhat makes you think that how objectively attractive a person may be directly relates to how long a relationship lasts? Or how quickly one half may tire of the other. For me there has to be way more that just how “pretty” a woman is , in fact for me it’s some way down the list as I’d argue that as looks fade there would have to be more to love?
I have moved on from relationships quite a few times in my life back to being single and it has NEVER related to how attractive they have been.
I would never enter a relationship with any woman based on looks alone so it would never be the reason it lasted or didn’t.00 Reply

1 yYes, if the person is only in the relationship because of their partners looks, then they will eventually get used to those looks, and begin looking for their next dopamine hit! It’s called superficiality, and there is an epidemic of it in the West! People believing the grass is greener in the next guy’s (or girls) garden leads to unhappy and unfulfilled superficial relationships! One’s superficial looks will attract a partner, but having a personality that the prospective partner is also attracted to will lead to a deeper more fulfilling relationship that lasts longer than the initial attraction.
My dad has a saying “No matter how good looking a person is, no matter how hot, how sexy they are, no matter how big his package, or how spectacular her tits are… Somewhere out there, some poor idiot is SICK of their SHIT!
I hope this helps.

None of the people I have dated or loved in the past were hot, honestly. I was attracted to them because I adored them as people, but I know that conventionally speaking, they were all about average.
Never got bored of any of them. Even the ones who treated me like trash, I still didn't get bored, just hurt.
If you really love someone, you're not going to get bored of them. If you're settling for someone, or only dating them because they look good, you just might.

Aiming to sprinkle a little insight here! Ah, the classic tale of fading enchantment, right? Here's the scoop: Beauty's like the cherry on top—it catches the eye, but it's the sundae underneath that keeps the taste buds dancing. 🍨💃 So, yes, even the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous folks can find their partners' gaze wandering if what's on the inside doesn't match the sparkle. It's all about that emotional connection, shared laughter, dream weaving, and growing together that keeps the spark alive. Falling in love with someone's mind, their quirks, and all the little things that make them unique? That's the secret to never getting bored. So, keep stirring the pot of love with those ingredients, and you've got a recipe for everlasting allure! 😘✨

@_piotr a lot of people look better as they age because they find hairstyles, clothes and all that looks good on them.
And for my relationship personality came first then we started growing more attracted to each other physically over the years but could be because we were ugly duckling teens when we met 😅

1 yEveryone gets bored sometimes but I think it's important to remember why you are with them to begin with. Superficial reasons such as sex and money would wane over time because when sex gets boring... what? They cheat? When the money is no longer there and he loses his job? She leaves? This is why having comman values and interest is important and also commitment. I personally always hope and pray I end up with a guy who knows what it's like to struggle because I don't want someone who never had that and in the relationship, the first sign of it, he picks up and leaves

1 yWell yeah. Kinda.
Beauty is only enough to get you noticed before a relationship starts. Normal relationships go through phases. In the west, it might look like:
- Attraction
- Bonding
- Relationship
- Love
- Marriage
Something like that. So if you're easy on the eye, and have nothing else going for you, then yeah, your partner is going to get bored.
On the flipside, even a less attractive partner can keep things going with deeper, less shallow things going for him/her, assuming they can get past the initial attraction step.

1 yIt is a bit complicated, it doesn't matter if someone is hansome and beautiful, if the person is just boring and doesn't have the drive and the will to do stuff with their partner it is a definite yes. The thruth is that every relationship is very fun and interesting in the beginning while you are still meeting them, after some time it becomes monotonous. The goal is to know your person and to want to do new and fun stuff with them and vice versa.

1 yI think it's easy to have happen. But like brother and sister, you learn to get past the stage of wonder and newness, unto boredom, then into a place of appreciation and value them for who they are.

1 yDepends on many couples out there who'd either lie or lie to themselves in their own reflections 👀 🪞 😬 - anyways.
As others should point out, settling is often why. Why the cheat, easily, as too many settle or settled or knew they settled -00 Reply- 627 opinions shared on Relationships topic.

1 yYes, because we adapt to the beauty of the others. More important is the tender behaviour of the otherside. Love is more than desire.

I just have a very negative and pessimistic opinion regarding relationships and it is something that I have observed in general. I believe that in the beginning when you like someone a lot, even their flaws are very alluring and they don't even bother you that much.
But after some time passes I find that most people lose interest so they start creating conflict about stuff that didn't even bother them in the beginning because the initial passion starts evaporating.
So they have to *try* to fix things, yet in the beginning they didn't even have to put so much effort, because everything was effortlessly done. Also people have the tendency to form an opinion about the other person in their minds which doesn't even align to reality, therefore they fall for the idea of the person not for the actual person, so they set unrealistic expectations and the other person can't even meet them.
Also many people are not grateful of what they have and they subconsciously think they can do better and better.
There are more and more and I am rambling way too much.
