I know I am going to sound like a crazy person, but can't make this up. A guy I know (we hooked up once) drives by my workplace almost every day and not just once, but multiple times through-out the day despite the fact that we are both in commited relationships with other people. I am familiar with people "orbiting" but I don't understand why they do this. To me it's odd and I don't understand the reason behind it.

Ah, the classic drive-by orbiting! While it might sound like something out of a rom-com, it's actually a red flag waving in the real world. This behavior is a mix of curiosity and the desire to feel close without the direct interaction. Maybe he's reminiscing about the connection you two once shared, or perhaps it's his way of keeping a tab on you without crossing the line into direct communication. Either way, it's important to trust your gut. If this behavior makes you uncomfortable, it's a sign to maybe have a clear and direct conversation with him about boundaries. Flirting with the idea of what 'could have been' can be thrilling, but nothing beats the peace of knowing your boundaries are respected. Stay shiny and protected! 😉
