Narcissists need others to cheer about superiority of narcissist and narcissist needs those to degrade and to belittle them. It isn't "like fu... off I love my mirror reflection and don't need anyone", unfortunately for people who feel attracted to narcissists.

It's definitely not a narcissistic trait unless the person is specifically living alone because the they believe that they are better than everyone around them. There are so many other rational and more likely reasons that a person would live on their own.
