Ok so we were together for about 2 years and she was a very active social media user to the point where she was on it all the time unfortunately even when we were together. She could never detach from her phone. Well the thing is she would post a lot and this pictures would be of her, her family our pets but never none of me. Same with her phone she had a whole folder for family and pets but none with me. So fast forwarding after our breakup she’s in a new relationship and easily made her profile picture with the other guy when for 2 years she couldn’t do that for me. How do I not pull away that I’m just not deserving

Just hopefully you learned from this relationship and don't ever give someone more than they give back to you. Lots of people are cunt's and will just use someone until they are bored and find someone they like more, always pay attention to how they treat you but don't take it badly because just because that girl didn't see what makes you special doesn't mean someone else won't.

I think another reason it bothers me the way it does is the impact I made in the family her mother called me her future son in law and told me at one point she was worried about her daughter chasing me off

So the thing is one day she came over and drove me to the store as a decoy to talk to me one on one about things that were going on she said I didn’t deserve the abuse I was getting and that her daughter didn’t get it from her and they ultimately she was concerned that she was gonna gonna chase me off and she could see how much I truly loved her daughter. In the end just like her friends our mutual friends they all became ok with abuse and painted her as the victim. She had everyone in her palm and knew she couldn’t get in trouble. One night I was bending over to pet our dog and she hauled off and kicked me in the ass and laughed while doing it

This is part of moving on so you don’t repeat the same stuff but fundamentally you want to understand why something so basic was so hard communication also was a struggle so naturally I’m gonna question myself and it hits my self esteem because when you constantly ask and get excuses yet they do it for someone else so effortlessly naturally you assume they are embarrassed by you or something is wrong with you

Dude it was deeper then that she hardly had I started to notice a a trend of how little i actually meaned even in her phone she had pictures of herself, her friends, her family none of me. Maybe I have misconceptions about what is supposed to be normal in a relationship but when a girl claims to like a guy. Like even basic communication was a struggle our mutual friends would say that our communication was horrible and I was like because she refuses to talk through issues and they constantly go unresolved
