Husband angry about me laughing with male friend?

I recently went out with my husband and a male friend. During the meet up I joked a few times with my male friend. Before leaving I joked again and we had a laugh. Afterwards, my husband told me he wasn’t too happy about this. I assured him I wasn’t flirting , just trying to be friendly, is he overreacting? Or should I stop this when my husband is there?

So whatever you were joking around about , your husband took it as you were flirting with the other guy , Don’t just assume your husband is being insecure , which most people tend to do , put yourself on your husband’s shoes and think how would you feel if he was joking around with another girl but you took it as flirting? I would have had to be there to decide. You might have been flirting or not. I lean towards flirting though. Obviously you'll deny it. That's the typical response. I get pissed when my wife flirts with guys too. Why wouldn't I? She'd get mad too, but I'm 10x more respectful.

There is a fine line between "joking around" and flirting.

" ... should I stop this when my husband is there". That is the wrong thing to say. You are implying you would do it only when your husband is not there, which if he knew, would upset him.

Just make sure there is NO sexual intent in what you say. That is cheating. Like I say, a fine line.

I don't know.. I did the same thing with my exes best friend and he got offended, when we left he was saying why are you laughing so hard at his jokes for? LOL I was just like holy fuck maybe because they were funny? I just basically stopped talking to his friend much after that because clearly my guy was jealous about something.
