Of my several long-term girlfriends, I lived with two.
When I was 34, I rented a house with my 31 year old girlfriend because she was in the final stages of divorce and lived 2.5 hours away. I had to remain near my job. She had shared custody with 4 kids and needed room for them to stay with us when she had them.
She was supposed to split the rent but there were several months when I agreed to cover it and she promised to pay me back when the divorce was settled.
After about 8 months together, she moved out one day while I was at work and left me with the bills. Plus I had to find an apartment right away and move my stuff.
I do NOT recommend renting a place together.
When I was 36, I met a lady who was 30. I had an apartment that I liked a lot and she was renting a house with two roommates, one of whom lived in the back of the house and one lived in the garage that had been turned into a granny apartment.
She was wonderful. She is the first girlfriend I ever fell truly in love with and she loved me.
I wound up bringing some clothes and necessities to her place and lived there with her full time for almost two years. I kept my apartment and went back there whenever I needed more clothes or anything.
She had a really nice bedroom with a king size bed and a master bathroom. She was more comfortable living in her space than staying at my place, although we sometimes stayed overnight at my place.
We both worked full time but came back to her place every night and living together just like a married couple.
That was an ideal arrangement.
Our new dog moved in and took over EVERYthing.
Thanks for the MHO.
we just ended up living in each other's houses over time, then my house burned down and now he spends more time in my rental house than i do in his real house, but really we see each other more on the road than our own homes
He moved in with me after we got married.

My girlfriend wanted to move to a larger city. She lived in Gainesville and I lived in Jacksonville. After 8 months of weekend commutes and occasional mid-week commutes, she asked about moving in with me. That started in July, 2021. We got married in April, 2024.
She moved into my place. Homeboy had already went months without paying his half of the rent so he had to go, and she needed to leave her place because her Mom moved in on her. So it was a quid pro quo sort of situation which turned into a very long term relationship.
I only lived with one guy I moved into his house with his parents then they asked if we could stay until his little sister got married and that took 5 years :/ Then we moved into our own place..
It's "who moved in with whom".
At any rate, my wife moved into our last house about three months before we got married. I moved in on our wedding night.
My wife lived at home with her parents. When we married she moved into my apartment. Then we bought a house about a year after. The same with her sister. She stayed at home until she married my brother in law.
I feel like it depends on the situation I moved in with him but then we got our own place since he lived with roommates but we talked about him loving in with me it just all depends ig
I had my place already, she moved to this state from hers, and then with me
My partner recently asked how I felt about moving in with him.
He moved in with me to start with.
Move to a new place together I voted - that old smell is old 😭 🗝๏ธ lol 😆 😆 😆
We moved from living in our car to an apartment together.
We never made it that far lol.
I never had a relationship, so I never moved :P
