It depends. I've been on both sides of the fence as the military member and as the dependent. People that don't have anything better to do just fuck a whole lot once separated from their partner. Others just see it as too much effort or risk even though their eyes tell me they want to and yet some others just have a mission in life that includes not being that kind of person.

I've seen it all. I've watched me and the boys fuck about 20+ hookers each in a single night on our first port, and I've also been left behind to watch these women go coo coo bananas for cock as soon as their husband's leave. Like not joking they all get together and look for male dependents like me to fuck for 9 to 12 months or they'll go through civilian randoms like they're scoring points in Super Smash Bros or something.

Honestly it depends on the partner. Some of them are faithful, like real faithful. Others... they'll just justify it and do it. But when they get caught they can't justify it. Years ago I chanced upon a scientific paper on this, sorry I can't recall the title, but it was funded by the Navy. It found when choosing a partner men who spent large amounts of time away from home were more likely to choose partners they thought least likely to cheat on them than men who saw their wives daily.

However the military is well aware men will cheat. STDs are considered one of the biggest threats to manpower and historically taken more men out of action than enemy fire.

Anyone who has lived in a military town can tell you that women pack the bars anytime there is a big deployment. Again, I'm not saying this is every woman because it's definitely not, but the women who don't take their commitments seriously are easy to find when there is a deployment - anywhere but home.

There are also a few deployed soldiers who cheat too. Very few are cheating in any modern war zone, because there is almost no opportunity and because the military has more oversight in those conditions. But soldiers deployed to a non-combat base, such as Germany or Japan, will have more opportunities, and some will cheat.

In most cases, it's not that difficult to predict who is cheating, though, because most people have a hard time hiding their morals and values if you are paying attention.

Some do and some don't. In my 20 years of active service, I watched many members cheat with multiple women. I have no way of knowing about others I have not seen cheat. And I know of one woman who moved her boyfriend into Navy housing with her as soon as her husband's ship sailed.

I don't know how much guys cheat in that situation, but I don't think there are many couples like that.

If I were dating a girl and she said I enlisted to serve. I'd dump her. I don't do long distance. If I joined I'd break up. Don't try and stay in a relationship while serving. Do that when you GET OUT.

Hell yes. They all fuck/ sleep around. The wives/ husbands of soldiers and also the soldiers themselves overseas. I used to know German women who had affairs with American soldiers stationed in Germany, who had girlfriends and wives back home.

The swinging/wife swapping lifestyle was apparently started by the US Airforce back in the 60s or so.

They all cheat. Very rare someone does not because they are Forest Gump!
