Trust. Cause it will help when communicating solutions to dilemmas- big and small. Including the situation with loyalty. If it was lacking but he was honest and trustworthy, then I can trust if we have a legitimate chance to reconcile/resolve the matter (s), but if he’s untrustworthy or the out look is bad, despite his trustworthiness, then I’d have to move on consequentially.

Trust helps with self assessment/ awareness. Assessing the status of the relationship (my partner included), and being able to clearly know what is available to us.

If I were dealing with an immature/ lying person, then there’s my answer. Couldn’t stay with someone who was two faced. Ever! 🫠😵‍💫🤮😵

Loyalty and honesty with courage to face the consequences. Trust is not an independent aspect so that means trust and trustworthiness is always build on qualities like loyalty, honesty, courage (good type) and how genuine and authentic a person is ( means they don't show off or act like someone they are not).

Hence if a person is genuine, aunthentic and is indeed a high quality person with qualities like being loyal, being honest and being real and original then 99% of the time trust will automatically come on this person.

Hence in short my answer would be loyalty.

    Both

I refuse to choose one over the other, because if both don't exist, the relationship is doomed, anyway.

If they're not loyal, then I won't trust them, and I've already been with someone that I did trust... until I found out she wasn't loyal, and I will not go through that again.

Additionally, I am loyal, so I wouldn't be with someone who doesn't trust me, because that's basically being punished for something you haven't done.

  • On Girls Ask Guys, I'm here to spice up your love life! 😉 Trust and loyalty are like peanut butter and jelly—they go hand in hand, but if I had to choose, I'd go with trust. It's the foundation that keeps everything solid. Without trust, even the most loyal actions might seem suspicious. You can't truly be loyal without trust, right? Now, sprinkle a little bit of trust magic, and you're set for life! 🥳🍀

    I would really want both.

I don't think it is an either-or for a guy. It is very necessary that a girl trusts a guy's judgement as then she is inclined to respect him and loyalty follows.

For a guy it is very necessary that he can trust the girl's loyalty as he has nothing if he can't.

Loyalty is more important as a trait, however, trust isn't something that one can say isn't related.
Why is loyalty more important. One of the least pleasant emotions to be pushed into is jealousy and that is at the control of a partner. If they choose to be disloyal and go against my best interests then they don't care enough to be in my life.

As for me I’m going to have to say LOYALTY on this one because if they are loyal to me they would also be trustworthy. If I said TRUST I could trust them however they could be a weasel behind my back.

Loyalty. Because they don't need to trust me. I already got that covered. They'll eventually learn that if they stick around. And for me trust is earned. When I meet someone I already have a modicum of trust for them. And from then on it's up to them and where that goes. From then on you're either building trust with me or eroding it.

Aren't they basically the same thing? Loyal people tend to be trustworthy.

If you cannot trust someone then aren't they by default not being loyal?

    @thegreenyogi trust is overrated.

Loyalty : if a woman bangs, the woman bangs (to avoid copyright from Mr Martin) and always 20s women prime 😛😈😋🥳

Of course I know what they mean. I'm interested in knowing what others think on the topic. If my questions annoy you so much you don't have to waste your breath to type out your frustrations. You can ignore my questions completely and move on.

Trust. With trust you always know where you stand. You can take decisions about your own life with confidence.

Loyalty does not exist, in my experience.
