It is possible that what you are seeing as "pointless" and a waste of your time and effort that could be better spent making money is of much greater import than you realize. Making the time and effort to do certain menial but necessary tasks such as those you mentioned together with your lady is like a type of preventative maintenance and upkeep that keeps a romantic relationship strong, stable, and better able to survive hard times. Talk to her about your perspective but first give hers it's due consideration by making sure you hear her out and properly understand why she's asking for your help and participation with these things. Once she has confirmed that your understanding of her reasoning is correct then that's when you give her your thoughts and she has displayed proper understanding of your reasoning then both of you are better prepared and able to either change one or the others mind or more likely find some compromise where both give what is most important for the other and thus both get what all need
