I would enquire what the issue really is, and if it's an issue that could be worked on, why did they not try to work on it. I'm not going to argue with them about it though, I'll just replace them with someone new.

Usually I'm the one being begged to stay. 1 of 3 things is what makes me want to leave and I have brought it to their attention, and they ignored it. 1) Cheating... and I think most of you can understand why I wouldn't want to stick around with someone that has moments of lust and then expects me to forgive them. They're the worst. 2) They've let themselves go and refuse to change it. It could be getting fat, a substance abuse problem, or they just don't shower and brush their teeth (at least for me) anymore. 3) They've become way too controlling and judgmental of me and my choices. Don't judge lest thee be judged... as well as I lay out what it is from the start. If some side chick expects me to burn my bottom bitch for her, she's getting the boot.

When I was younger, I'm guilty of the cheating thing and they'd beg me to stay, and in my opinion they should've just refused to have nothing to do with me. I sleep around now, but at least I have permission, and I adhere to who they allow me to do things with and don't cut deals on my own.

I wouldn't beg him or try to convince him to stay with me. It would hurt a lot but I wouldn't stop him from leaving. I'd just cry it out later and tell myself to move on.

If someone thinks there are people better than you and can make them happier, no matter what you do, they will always try to find a reason to either cheat on you or leave you. Why waste your time and energy on someone who doesn't think you're the best thing that happened to him/her? Let them try to find someone else. They'll either find someone or regret losing you but just don't ever take them back.
