Even in dual income households, women do all if not most of the emotional labor, mental load, childcare, and domestic tasks even if they and their husbands both work full time and I want to know what men think of this dynamic.

No, but if she chooses to do that then that's kind of on her.

This is why it's important to KNOW who your partner is before saying "I do". And the REALITY is not enough women properly vet thier guy before marrying him. Then they claim that he lied to her or became a different person. When the REALITY is he was ALWAYS that person. She just ignored it because she was too all in her feelings.

I'm drawing off of personal experience in the fact that my wife is a real "let's do everything now" type of person and I'm much more laid back. I try to get ahead of things, because I want to make her happy (even though it goes against my nature). But after 25 years of marriage I've learned that there is no doing things quick enough for her. This is just her nature. She's going to overstress about things and there isn't a damn thing I can do about it. So rather than try to pull myself up to where she is. I try to relax her down to where i am. Because in the end, we get it done. We're a team, and I'll always have her back. I think she just needs to be constantly reminded of that because she tries to take on too much.

What is emotional labor and mental load? yea childcare ( especially of babies) and domestic tasks are woman's responsibilities, a man just don't tend to be good at doing those things.

Maybe I've been lucky but in my family and those I know, the men work as hard as the women in their work and home lives. They just tend to do different things, which is fine as long as both are pulling their weight.

No. It's stressful and takes a toll on her body. Back days.. men were bread winners and women were housewives.. with expensive cost of living these days.. women are working as well. So, men will have to share women's tasks as well. Complimenting each other perfectly

I mean based on everything I've seen in my entire life, I find conflict with your claim that women do that much at all, but I'll chuck that up to different backgrounds.

I don't think you can accurately say who does most of the "emotional labor and mental load". The other stuff might be true. Household responsibilities should be shared equally. Maybe the wife or the husband is better at one thing so the other one needs to pick up some slack somewhere else.

No, they shouldn't, and most don't. Studies that show they do fail to consider all the things men do outside of work to support the family (yard work, home maintenance, home improvements, etc.)

Sharing responsibilities equally does not mean each partner should split every chore 50/50. Couples should do what's best for THEIR relationship, which means each person doing what they're best at.
