No, I would prefer that they remember me with positive thoughts, but I do not want them sitting around thinking about me, that leads to problems. As for being friends, there are two exes I am really afraid of and if I saw them walking down the street toward me I would probably go into a store and hide or something like that. Otherwise I say we are friends but, I don’t actually want to hang out with them or anything, I am not an antisocial person, I just think when it’s over it’s over. I will say we’re friends and smile when I see them but that does not mean I want to meet them for coffee every two weeks or whatever. JMO!

Personally , NO.. ex’s are dead to me. I only cared for them because they were in my life and I wanted to build something with them ( generally speaking ) .. I intended to be with them until it ended after which “ staying in touch “ seems like a platitude that is offered but never really followed through with. The exceptions were mutually accepted non relationships where there was never an intention to have anything meaningful emotionally … more of what was known as friends with benefits
