There is no such thing as traditional roles for us honestly, we both do a little of each one whichever works best for us or we can do at the time we do it cuz it needs to be done and some cleaning I won't always have time for or feel good enough to do so he does it money wise if he's sick and out of work I do my side gig doordash and make up for when he's out and I don't mind we love doing things for each other, being there for each other, helping each other when the other needs it. We just do what we can while we can and we do it when it needs to be done no matter what the traditional roles used to be because even back then they needed a break from there roles.

Traditional roles has worked very well for us. I wanted her to work but she wanted to be with the kids and raise them. She was raised in a family that the mom worked and hated it and didn’t want that for her kids. This required me to work harder but also smarter. By being smarter we made a lot of money and it’s been great.

@dwreborn 😂 We've had that discussion! Like when he comes home, takes a shower and leaves his dirty clothes in the bathroom. "Can't you at least put them in the laundry room"? Or, like last night! We had ribs. He gets done eating and just puts his plate in the sink, without at least putting the bones in the garbage! His reasoning: "I do it for you! I thought you like cleaning up messes". Gotta love it!

I was raised in a modern/traditional house. My dad worked outside the home and my mom stayed at home. Dad shoveled snow and cut the grass, while mom made Christmas dinner and did the laundry.
