Would you rather know the truth and lose your peace, or stay blind and keep your happiness?

I constantly seek the truth. I find it surprising, eye opening, and liberating.
"There is nothing so powerful as truth – and often nothing so strange." – Daniel Webster
"Sometimes people don’t want to hear the truth because they don’t want their illusions destroyed." -- Friedrich Nietzsche
"The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off." -- Gloria Steinem
"You can have ignorance or you can have self-knowledge. You can live deluded or you can live for truth." -- Maxime Lagacé
"The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it." -- George Orwell
I've always been a truth seeker. Rather live in reality than in fear of it.
It's like asking if you would rather find out your wife cheats on you every week or live blissfully in ignorance thinking she loves you and is completely faithful to you.
I'll take the hard truth and leave her ass every day.
I’d rather know the truth, even if it shakes my peace, cause clarity always beats illusion..
Happiness built on lies or ignorance is temporary but true strength n growth come from seeing things as they r, facing reality with courage, n choosing how to respond with integrity.. 🦋
Rather lose my peace, I can't be with a liar. I will find happiness again.
As a relationship coach, my aim is to help people find clarity and happiness. Knowing the truth can be tough, but it’s key to building authentic connections. Living in a bubble of ignorance might seem cozy, but it can backfire like ghosting after a first date! Falling head over heels means embracing both the sugar and the spice, even if it shakes things up a bit. So, truth – it might rock the boat, but hey, it's better than sailing in circles! 😉🚤❤️

The way the question is worded you kind of have to pick “know the truth” bc the other option would be like, you know you’re avoiding the truth so you can be happy not knowing.
I think most of the time you don’t know when you’re staying blind to stay happy, you think you are seeing the truth, even though you might know there are other ways you could look at things, if you realize you are living a lie, you would have to deal with that somehow.
To answer the question, I would rather be happy if that is actually one of my options, but, I couldn’t knowingly ignore the truth to stay happy, I would not actually be happy in that situation. JMO!
The truth will always set you free
I will go with truth because it's just matter if time that the truth always comes
You can't get upset over something you don't know.
Stay blind.
It depends on what it is.
For example, if the person I am with cheated or betrayed me I'd want to know. I'd want to get them out of my life and not live a lie.
I like hot dogs and bratwurst. I even like bologna. Do I want to know what is in them? No. They taste good and I don't want to ruin that. What I don't know won't hurt me.
Even though it will suck I want the truth,

"Truth is like a dead skunk in the middle of the street. You can walk away from it, but it still stinks."
Tony Baretta
I believe in the truth. I can manage things as long as I know what is really going on, and I have no interest in someone trying to pacify me with lies. I can see through that, and it disrupts my peace even more.
Always to know the truth. Ignorance may be bliss but it’s never good or profitable.
As Nietzche put it, “Those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who couldn’t hear the music.”
Ignorance is bliss! We only live once, knowing a truth isn't the same as the ability to enact change so why bother?
I think those who live ignorantly pretend to desire truth and those who live in truth desire freedom from its weight.
Its like wanting to see the storm but wishing you could stay dry. It never quite works out that way.
I always wanted to know the truth but looking back from it I would have rather stayed dumb and ignorant because the truth is that we live in a modern slavery where we imprisont and kept dumb to work for the filhty rich
This depends on the category. What is it about?
Know the truth, though I suppose it depends (the truth about what?)
I definitely want the truth
Most likely the truth, even if its the worst possible truth you'll eventually be able to accept it and move forward!
Willful blindness has never had any appeal to me. I'll take the truth. It doesn't mean losing your peace. It means having your eyes opened.
The Gnostic Gospels were very enlightening and have been to me for years, as has elements of Satanism and elements of Wikipedia
Know the truth, but it is very unlikely anything would cause me to lose any peace.
Know the truth, always. That's why I'll always be a virgin.
I want to know the truth and make decisions based on that.
People who stay blind lose their happiness too, they just don't see it coming.
Never met anyone who lost long-term peace from the truth
Just know the truth and if it's worth letting them should let go but if it's not then must rethink and it's better to know the truth cuz longer the truth hides bitter it gets
If I had to choose the truth, lose my peace for a while and earn a deeper truer peace later. Got it?
@Amy2004 Sound much like story of , Adam and Eve.
most blue-pilled people will say they want the truth until they don't
The thing is... I already know the truth, and I'll be in peace when something drastically changes for the better.
The problem is that Women stay blind even when they are happy.
Definitely truth 😁
The truth! Simple yet easy!
Sometimes not knowing is happiness
Think of it this way
What good is your happiness when it's based on a lie?
BUT:
What if your happiness was based on what's real? What if the truth makes you happy?
Whatever but first one.
The truth
I’d want the truth
