Do you think it's petty if someone lost physical attraction to their partner if their partner got extremely noticable surgery?

I think people that have surgeries without their partners approval should already have in mind if not by being told then by logical common sense that their partner will lose interest in their appearance, mostly if their partner didn't want them to have it in the first place, think of it from this perspective, you got with that person because everything, including their physical appearance was perfect to you, it's like if someone has a Lambo and removes and starts modifying to make it look like a Honda, it's still a Lambo but it doesn't look like what you liked about that Lambo.

I don’t think it’s petty, but maybe someone should be prepared for their partner to feel uneasy to that kind of change. Personally I don’t think it’s necessary to change your physical appearance unless it’s for health reasons, but if you fell in love with someone for the way they are inside, it wouldn’t change a thing. Physical appearance is ever changing.

Also, sometimes people get insecure once they’ve been cheated on, mental health reasons, and other things, so I think if they ever felt like they needed to change their appearance because they felt unattractive, I would talk with them and ask them why and remind them that they are perfect. I don’t think it’s about making someone feel bad about it because it must come from an insecurity that is deep within. And if I truly love this person it wouldn’t change the way I view them. Think about it… what if something unexpected or tragic changes how they look? Would the same idea apply? Not loving them the same just because their looks change probably for the worse. Someone really would have to ask themselves what the real reason they fell in love with someone was if looks had the power to change how they feel about their partner.

I think it's quite understandable rather than petty. I mean, you choose to be in a relationship because you like many things about them and that includes their looks, you find them appealing. Now if my partner decides to undergo number of surgeries to a point, he looks almost like a different person, I would not be able to look at him the same way again. If God forbid someone has an accident and they need to undergo multiple surgeries because of the injuries? That's fine. I wouldn't lose interest at all, but too many surgeries would make me thinking I'm with a different man. Like I don't want to feel like I'm cheating on him 😂

Yea it's common sense, necessary health surgeries are different, lots of things to consider there but when it comes to being a choice cause they failed to actually understand the point of view of their partner then it should be understandable that people like seeing things, it's gonna play a huge part lol

And that cheating part makes a good point or a very good excuse if that's not really an important consideration 😂

No, it doesn't tell us who reported it. It only tells us how many people reported it. We can't even tell whether it's regular user who reported or a regular mod like me. But sometimes I could tell when some people keep reporting number of questions because when they're online, they fill the whole report section with their reports and most of these questions aren't even against the rules. They just don't like those questions, lol.

I think 🤔 it's a big deal to change your appearance by having multiple plastic surgeries.
If there's a significant difference to the person's face, that would be weird for their partner to feel the exact same way about them.

If you think about it, it's the person who has to look at your new self and deal with the difference in your appearance. After all, you're not looking at your own face while around people so you really don't have to deal with looking at you, and making emotional adjustments.

I wouldn't blame them if they said to you that you're just not the same person who I fell in love with, and want to end the relationship maybe.

But your partner should always be consulted with first before changing your appearance.
