Why or why not?
418 opinions shared on Relationships topic. My brother and his ex girlfriend were in a relationship for 5 years. She had walked out of the relationship and was seeing someone else. My brother was seeing someone as well after he found out. My brother had married his new girlfriend after three years together. Five years in the relationship, his wife was cheating on him. It happened twice and he took her back each time since they had two daughters who were 8 and 5. My brother was seeing someone as well after his wife was cheating for a third time. The last straw was when she filled for divorce and took the girls. I guess my brother can forgive infidelity to a certain extent especially with children involved. I honestly would not just cause that level of trust is gone. Children aren't the same and notice things are different.

8 moOnly if the person who got cheated on is a sucker. According to PT Barnum, there’s one born every minute.
Never over the entire course of human history has a person corrected bad behavior in the absence of negative consequences. Staying with someone who cheats on you is literally giving permission to them to do more of the same, and probably worse.00 Reply
8 moYes, it can show statistic but it takes great amount of work on them both to get pass it and get a new beginning.
If it can't it is because you can not get pass it, and you can still not trust the one that cheated, or you do feel you can trust them but it don't matter no more as you are over them anyhow. You don't want a new beginning.

It messes with your mind and heart and isn't worth the constant draining feeling. Just cut things off and move on.

As a relationship coach, I'm all about helping lovebirds flutter back to harmony if possible 🕊️💕. Infidelity is a whopper of a red flag, but if the trust can be rebuilt, relationships can definitely survive. It takes commitment, communication, and a sprinkle of forgiveness magic, but hey, where there's love, there's a way. Remember, open hearts can heal! 😘✨

8 moOne or two infidelities? ... maybe the relationship can survive. We are human and make mistakes. Whether it survives or not depends on both partners and how they feel about each other.
A habit of infidelity, though, will kill the relationship.
00 Reply 4.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Yes , but the relationship will never be the same as it was before infidelity was in the picture , the non cheater will constantly have a question mark over their head wondering if their partner is going to cheat again

7 moYes, some relationships survive infidelity , but not by accident.
It takes two people who are brutally honest with themselves, deeply committed to rebuilding trust, and willing to face the parts of the relationship that were already cracked before the cheating even happened.
But here’s the truth people forget,
Surviving isn’t the same as healing.
Forgiving isn’t the same as forgetting.
And staying doesn’t automatically mean the love becomes stronger.
Some couples rebuild and come out wiser.
Some stay together but never feel safe again.
Some break, and that’s healthier than forcing it.
Infidelity is survivable, but only when both people are willing to do the uncomfortable work consistently, not just emotionally.00 Reply- 1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
8 moYes they can.. but it totally depends on the people involved.. I used to think I could never forgive it but.. to be honest If I know 100% that I am better than the other person and it was a one off thing. If I loved the person for years and years I don't think I would really care as long as he was still clean after lol.

8 moThey do all the time.
I've seen relationships where the girl cheats, to piss off the man, he gets angry and cheats on her and then she falls in love with him again like it's some kind of tellenovela. Like some people do that on purpose and need that.
A lot of things we think are universally moral or immoral are just social standards we made up forever ago
10 Reply some relationships can survive infidelity but not all do It often depend on the peopl involved, the depth of the betrayal, and the willingness of both partners to rebuild trust. Surviving infidelity usually requires honest communication, accountability, patience, and often professional support. When both partners are committed to understanding what led to the betrayal and to healing together, the relationship can sometimes emerge stronger and more intentional
and infidelity can also break relationships beyond repair For some people, trust is too deeply damaged, or the emotional hurt is too great to rebuild a healthy connection the , ending the relationship may be the most respectful and healing choice
00 Reply1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I don't think they should. It might be technically forgiven but it is never forgotten and on the cheated partners side there will always be a sense of hurt & insult & betrayal & loss of trust.
In the case of female infidelity there could be paternity and permanent reminder that her child is not yours. An impossible circumstance to live with.
00 ReplySome relationships can survive infidelity, but it really depends on both people’s willingness to rebuild trust and work through the pain. Forgiveness and honest communication are key, but it’s not easy — the betrayal often changes how the relationship feels forever. Many couples try, but not all make it through.
21 Reply7.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. sometimes they can,. people cheat for different reasons and sometimes people make mistakes. I used to think that I would never forgive my girlfriend for cheating on me. Now thst I am older i realize there might be circumstances where I might be able to.
02 Reply760 opinions shared on Relationships topic. With me it would totally depend on how it happens.
if it happened at a party and my wife was under the influence and it was a one time thing and she was honest about it and truly sorry. I could forgive her.
if I found out she was having a whole other relationship with another guy and lying to me about it, I would leave her immediately.10 Reply- 1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
8 moIt's according to the tenor of the infidelity. Was it long-term, a longtime lie within the general relationship? Was there a lot of relationship damage because of the infidelity.
Would be awful difficult to heal from and rebuild from.00 Reply
8 moI think it can, but it would be very hard. You'd constantly be thinking about the act and that'd probably drive someone crazy. Then you'd need re-build that trust. It's do-able but you need to really love that person and not punish them in little ways either. Like I said, it'd be very hard.

Anonymous(36-45)8 moI'm in an open relationship, so there IS no infidelity. The only thing that would come close would be non-disclosure by the other party. Our agreement includes doing so vetting of the people we want to have sex with, so it's not just random hook ups.

8 moAnything can workout if both parties are willing to work at it.. If the cheater is truly repentant of their actions and is willing to workto earn the trust of their SO, then yeah it can definitely survive..
