Was I in the wrong?

I was taking my dog on a walk and he's 3. He has got in a habit of stopping while on walks especially when he sees a dog. I take treats and am trying to break him of it. anyways, a lady outside had her dog out in her front yard and was doing yard work. my dog stopped and I tried to get him to keep going but he wasn't. and she said "Keep walking" and then she said it again "keep walking please" and I said "I am trying but he's not going" and she said "well he should be walking" and I said "you dont have to be rude about it"

then she went off to say it wouldn't be funny if her dog mauled my dog to death and I told her "You should have your dog on a leash"

I get her dog is territorial but this was pure disgusting animal owner behavior. if your dog is so aggressive then you should have an invisible fence or your dog leashed. we live on a busy street where dogs are always walking down the street at all times of the day. People come up on this street to WALK because its so safe.

I wasn't gonna have her be rude to me. I finally got my dog moving. but I am trying to work with my dog on it. I thought it would've been perfect if a dog was there while I was teaching him to keep going so I could reward him.

I am not saying she can't have her dog in the front yard but she blatantly told me her dog was aggressive.

Was I in the wrong? I was on the sidewalk it wasn't like my dog was in her yard.
