You're a dude right? I'll put it like this... what else is going to make you actually want to be around a woman?

I mean don't get me wrong... I'm sure there is dudes out there that LOVE shopping and doing bullshit girl shit with the fancy coffee... but just a normal dude?

Women basically trade sex for attention and resources. If you're a dude giving her both of those without the sex... you're basical like one of those dudes that give money to Pokimane the streamer or some OnlyFans chud that chats with a dude (but he thinks it's really her) and forks money over.

The word "relationship" implies a trade off of something... some dudes get the shit end of the stick, but I'll take the pussy.

I don't hang out with these guys.

@SazidRahman I don't think "necessary' is a good word to use. I would say it would make the relationship better. I have put off trying to initiate sex in some cases because sex seems to muck up a relationship, as it creates expectations from the partner, especially when you work together.

It depends on the people in the relationship.

For some, sex is an important way of feeling connected and close.

For others, it’s less central or not a priority at all.

What really matters is that both people are aligned, feel respected, and don’t feel pressured.

A relationship is healthy when the needs on both sides are understood and met not when it follows a fixed rule.

YES, get a life... we all have love energy... so we can show it in hugs, kissing, massage caressing, cuddling, holding and way more.

I meant no to the question for it is not really a necessity but a bonus,,,, the cherry on top. Keep tapping into your love energy.
Women give birth to babies and still have healthy relationships while waiting 6 weeks to have sex again.

  • My aim on GAG is to decode love, attraction, and all the spicy confusion in between for you.

Sex isn’t “mandatory,” but some form of physical intimacy is. If both partners genuinely don’t care about sex, you’re fine. If one wants it and the other doesn’t, resentment, cheating, or emotional distance can grow. The real green flag is sexual compatibility, honesty, and mutual effort, not frequency.

@SazidRahman I used to think sex was necessary for health too, but my opinion changed after this question:

If people lived by completely excluding sex, would it be better for both the world and themselves?

Newton managed to stay healthy until the age of 84 without sex.

also Nikola Tesla also never had a relationship to interfer with his inventions. He believed celibacy was crucial to his scientific work, choosing to focus entirely on his inventions.

lol, the question is NOT about someone being healthy or not, it's about a relationship being healthy

It's not always necessary, but it is essential that you both agree. A frustrated partner isn't going to be a happy partner.
