Why is chasing after the person I like exhausting me?

Im so tired i don't want to chase anymore. Does chasing someone you like physically exhaust you? im currently sad and cried a bit trying to get over it.

Why are you chasing that person and what is your ultimate motive for wanting to chase him? If you are unsuccessful with your first attempt, then you should give up chasing him because obviously, he is not interested in being chased.

I can imagine that putting a physical effort in chasing a person can be exhausting, depending on the situation and the energy you put in the chase.

But chasing someone could also be mentally and emotionally exhausting. If you see that your attempts are not successful, the best thing is to stop because it is not helping you.

Yeah, i figured a man must pursue what he desires but chasing only seems to repel. But attracting draws near. Yet I spent my 20s not chasing and all i was left with was people thinking im gay

It's exhausting you because it's something you know you shouldn't have to be doing. You don't have to chase something that isn't running away from you.
