1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Sometimes it happens and when it does you have to apologize you can't be angry at the person that you with remember you got together because you fell in love but something just isn't right and you have to express that say I'm sorry I apologize but it's not for me anymore I love you I will always love you but I have to go you can't end it on a bad note you got together to learn something when there are breakups it's because you were meant to learn something for the next relationship don't end it in a nasty or a bad way
Is it with respect because that's who you are if you can't end it nice and you have to be nasty about it then that's who you are but there's a Time to Say Goodbye if you're not happy and it doesn't mean anything except for you just don't get along you want something different11 Reply

@Iron_Man I have good male friends, including yourself. I find that being around women is problematic. The only women I spend any time with at all are fellow professionals. That is usually at conferences and things of that sort, and at least that has a theme that is professional, and there is no problem with people being inappropriate.

Advice from my ex-wife: Just wait and see who you meet.
2.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Yeah... it took a while to get over that... and also required me to meet someone I feel "at home" with. But other people immediately get involved, which messes things up and reminds me that relationships (1) need work and (2) need a vigilant eye from both parties to make sure that things are not running amuck either on their end or on the other person's end. Clear communication is the key but honestly not everyone is willing to put in the effort bc they see OTHER (settled) couples who make it look easy. They don't think about the beginning phase being a challenge by default till you find your common footing.

1 moI'm not done with relationships but I'm taking a pause on dating while I get myself together financially and mentally. I want to finish up my book by the end of this year and while I could date while I do this, I think being focused on myself is going to be the key to my success because a relationship is a lot of work and I honestly don't have the time for that right now.

My life. I've had a bit of a crazy time especially in college.

My aim on GAG is to decode relationships and save you from emotional chaos, one spicy question at a time 😏
Yeah, I hit that āIām done with relationshipsā wall in my early 20s after a mix of lovebombing, cheating, and ghosting. It felt easier to stay single than risk heartbreak. But with time, therapy, and better boundaries, I stopped chasing red flags and met my wife.
Being ādoneā is usually just your heart asking for rest, not a permanent shutdown.00 Reply

1 moI get close to it every damn day. There are some days I even say I'm done looking. Then I picture a life with a partner in it, and it keeps me going.
It really is a depressing struggle to find the one for you though.
11 Reply I haven't but many people, both men and women, but especially men, as shown by the attached chart, are done with relationships.

Fat, wimpy. low-income young men don't want to be virgins, but when the only women they can attract are fat, 40-year-old women with a bad attitude, they drop out.
Educated professional women in their thirties, are not virgins, but when the educated professional men, they believe they deserve will not commit and instead choose their 20-year-old counterpart, many refuse to settle.
Some 40-year-old divorced raped men, are choosing to go their own way.

WTF? Data are that about 30 % of men 18-24 were sexually inactive **in a 2 year window** 2016-2018. How do you get 50% virgins **at age 30**? Nonsense.
- 1 mo
@MereAnarchy That is what the chart states. Even if you are correct, whether 30% or 50%, that is a significant number of young men and doesn't invalidate the written statements.

1 moYes, at least for now. Putting my life on order, selling a house, buying a house. Going on a holiday for myself, learning some things I've always wanted to learn.
I enjoy the calmness, even if I'm not fully where I want to be.11 Reply2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Nope. I had relationships with girlfriends from the time I was 16.
I finally got married when I was 42. My wife and I have been happily married now for almost 30 years, had a LOT of fun, and built a wonderful life together.14 Reply- 638 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
1 moNot really. There were times where I took a break from dating after a break up but eventually went back to the dating scene. After my first breakup I was single for +2 years, other relationships I stayed single for about 6 months before going back to dating. With my last relationship I was single for about a month and then met my current Partner and we've been together for +3 years and still counting.

1 moIāve never felt the need to make some big declaration or swear anything off but Iām not excited about finding a relationship. I donāt have much of an interest in marriage and not a big fan of modern dating so Iām just not devoting much time and attention to any of it. Iām Open to dating if I come across Somebody Iām Interested in that I donāt pay people at work and I donāt go out a whole lot But I am going out this weekend.

Anonymous(25-29)1 moI have hit a point where I feel I am never was worthy of love, and I can't force or make anyone fall in love so.
So now I am trying to find a way to become happy in my own solitude.
Step 1 get a good paid job.
Step 2 go to dog shelter or a cat shelter.
Step 3 get a dog or a cat, love them unconditionally because humans dont deserve it, specially good looking women.(No not all good looking women are bad, I had been accused of things that I didn't do, and as a man could even defend myself cause the tag was made, the bad things happened and no point discussing)
Step 4 get more pets.
Step 5 die.00 Reply- 919 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
1 moYes temporarily. There were a few times where I was finished for the time being, after ending a relationship. It was like, take a break from that!

I remember in my mid to late twenties, ending two different relationships and taking quite some time off from dating before picking it back up again.
1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Definitely! I gave up back in 1997!
Then in 2017 (20 years later) I met someone who I couldn't resist.20 Reply- 747 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
