Is it normal for a 7-year-old autistic child to wipe his nose on pillows?

He was sick and had a runny nose, he wipes his nose on the couch pillows. Are all kids the same? I find it really disturbing and beyond disgusting that he wipes his nose on the pillows good thing his couch is a dark blue but I am wondering are all kids like this? The boy is 7 and is autistic but is very smart and knows right from wrong

I've seen smart 4 yr olds do that, so its a phase and maybe he is delayed.

Totally normal kid behavior, autistic or not. Lots of kids wipe noses on sleeves, pillows, couches, you name it. It’s gross, but it’s not a moral issue, just a habits/skills issue.

He may need more direct teaching: tissues always nearby, gentle reminders, praise when he uses them. Not a red flag, just a parenting challenge.
