How do you actually cope when you feel really lonely in life?

When I was younger, there were times in my life when I felt so full of love to give, but I didn't have anyone to give it to; and yes, I felt terribly lonely and it hurt.

But as I got older I didn't feel like that anymore. I felt happy living alone and didn't feel lonely. I live alone now and I don't feel lonely.

If you are a praying 🙏🏼 man, change the desires of your prayers and be specific with what you are asking for in your prayers.

You're still young, the age I was when I was overcomed with that emptiness I felt inside. I know that feeling very well. I hear what you are saying. I get it.

I guess I didn't cope with it very well because I was very unhappy for a very long time. I just lived my life unhappy and unloved. Time is all I can say. ⏰

As someone who’s not that social I just entertain myself by hanging out with family or going to the gym. If I can talk to people online I can but I had weird experiences from that. I also like to read.

I usually make myself busy with something. That could be anything from going for a walk or other exercise to reading. Just depends on the mood I am in and well, what sort of weather is going on outside haha.

It doesn't happen often to me, but I do miss home while away at school. I usually have friends or my roommate around but somtimes do get that lonely feeling. The good news for me is I am just an hour drive away from home. I can go for a weekend anytime I want.

instead of throwing yourself a pity party that spirals down into depression, find something that will occupy your time and your mind productively. Fitness, your clothes and grooming, learn a new skill in your career field. Get out there and talk to strangers in a social setting to build social skills. Learn to cook and eat healthier. Don't just get a useless hobby. Spend your time doing things that will make you a more interesting person.

I have never been lonely to know what it feels like. I did go two months once without a relationship, and it was hell, but for other reasons, I was never lonely.
