My boyfriend and I got into a fight yesterday because I acted too jealous. He told me I needed to stop and I agreed, and since then I haven't acted jealous. he called me twice that night and we had pretty nice conversations. I asked him specifically if everything was OK between us and he told me that of course it was, that he wasn't going to break up with me, and that I needed to calm down. In one conversation he told me I was beautiful, and said he loved me. But so far today he's only called me while driving, so he's been distracted, so during those conversations there were no cute jokes or sweet things said. But when I told him I would change my jealousy he said "i don't want you to change, I want you to be the same person. I just want you to relax." Do I have anything to worry about? I would ask him but obviously he hates it when I do that.

later today I asked if anything had happened that was making him act so serious (because he hasn't joked around today) and he just said "no nothing happened" but didn't reassure me...i think he's going to dump me

Well, yes, you should ask yourself if you are too jealous in general, and with him in particular.

And you need to get some help, maybe from a friend, on whether he's the type of guy who will give you a real REASON to be jealous.

If he's a player, maybe you should be jealous! and if it makes him uncomfortable, too bad for him.

But if you're seeing dangers that aren't there, you DO need to calm down. I don't know how long you have been going together or what his history is, but most likely you aren't his first girl friend. If he 's a good person he probably has other women friends. It's something that comes with the territory, no?

I'm not even jealous anymore, I've calmed down about that, but I am worried that he will break up with me because of how cold he's been acting. But yesterday everything seemed fine, so it's weird. And no he's given me no reason to be jealous except for having platonic female friends.
