He says all the right things, so what's wrong?

So my boyfriend is incredible, honestly incredible,he says all the right things, all me beautiful, and tells me things like I'm the most amazing girl he's ever met, and we were made for each other, and he's falling so deeply in love with me, but is it strange that I don't believe a lot of it? I mean, are there guys out there that say that kind of stuff to every girl they've ever been with? do you think he's just telling me what I want to hear? I don't know.

First of all a guy doesn't have to want to get in your pants to tell you what you want to hear. Sometimes we do it because we don't want to fight, sometimes we do it because we just want to make you happy, sometimes we do it out of habit, and sometimes we do it because it is the forth quarter and we just want to watch the game.

Perhaps the biggest advice I can give you is stop looking for the hidden meaning. Once we've been in your pants and are defined as boyfriend and girlfriend we don't have as much incentive to lie. I have noticed time and time again girls trying to figure out what a guy means. This comes from the fact that girl tend to not say what they mean, they talk in coded languages with sub-text, similes, metaphors, sign language, gestures, implied meanings, and occasionally enigma encoded text. Boys tend to just say what they mean.

Chances are you are reading to much into this. Sounds like a good guy; take him at his word until proven otherwise.

well most likely, he isn't entirely saying it with sincerity.

Maybe he just wants into your pants,

Or is just saying it to please you because he knows it will.

But if you don't believe it, ask yourself where the feeling comes from, what makes it seem so unbelievable.

And if you ask and he says he's being honest maybe wants to feel that way but his subconscious it putting doubts in his mind, or doing something else that he's unaware of and that could be where the feeling comes from.

Well, it sounds lame, but what does your intuition tell you? A lot of people don't go with their gut. He may be telling you the truth, and you just don't feel worth someone caring about you that much. In which case, love yourself, you deserve having someone love you! If he is just putting a line out there, talk to people he knows. I'm sure someone knows his ex's, and girls love to talk, especially if it's gossip. You will know if they say he said the same thing to them. But be cautious, if it gets back to him that you asked around, he may resent that and it could backfire on you. Be discreet! But honestly, it's been my experience that when a guy tells you something like that, it's because he means it! Unless he has a big player vibe, I might just take his word for it. Hope this helps you

If it's too good to be true, it probably is. And no, it's not strange that you don't believe a lot of it. I'm guessing you haven't been with this guy long cause if you have to post a question like this on this site, then it just goes to show that you were questioning it anyways. Which is fine. I've been in your shoes MANY times! But him being "in love?" That's not just something guys say randomly over and over again. They'll say it once, and mean it...and the girl will instantly believe.

follow your intuition. Sometimes men lie & he could just be trying to butter you up for sex. A woman's intuition is very strong, don't ignore it.

He could be telling you what you want to her, its better than telling you won't you don't want to her. Its easier to catch flys with honey than vinegar... at his age its possilbe just test him, don't put out and see how long he hangs out with you or moves onto someone easier...

Yes, and those were all just tonight.

He's usually pretty sweet around me, and flirty, we haven;t been dating long, but I don't really know if I think he just wants sex because he's never said anything sexuak to me, nothing, and we've never done anything sexual, we make out a lot, and he doesn't really try anything.
