My ex girlfriend who I dated for over a year broke up with me back in May this year due to having lots of fights in our last month, which I caused and felt bad for since.

Since then, we've only kept in touch very briefly and texted one other civily every now and then.

Not long ago, she invited me over to her birthday at her place due to happen in a few weeks time. It'll be just us and a few of her friends. If I go, it will be the first time I see her since we broke up. What do you think?

What reason would an ex girlfriend invite her ex boyfriend to her own birthday?

I feel like we don’t. It’s an ideal but not an essential.

I think its a really bad mindset to have.

Don’t expect happiness to come from anybody else because you can find it naturally within yourself.

Back when I was in the “I need a girlfriend” phase I was a lot less happy. I focused a lot less on my own development as a person which made me almost lose my sense of dignity and self-respect.

I think MGTOW is right on point. I don’t hate all women or anything but its best to live independently. Women declare divorce 90% of the time and get half that money.

Why should I take that chance?

Love is acting on emotion, not logic.

I think its more or less true about 80% of the time. I am not talking about physically abusive relationships. Just the average relationship, i think normally men are happy to resolve conflicts and stay attached longer term. Perhaps its easier for women to get the emotions out and move on. I imagine their friends may encourage it rather than resolve too.

A 2015 study by the American Sociological Association found that women initiate two-thirds of all divorces, a staggering 69% to be exact. College-educated women initiate divorce at an even higher rate: 90%.
