Questions: Relationships

i have been with my girlfriend for over a year now. i love her very much and im very loyal to her. she's the love of my life. before her, I've never even loved anyone else. she makes me very happy. i always tell her/show her how much she means to me.

a couple months ago, i was at a bar with my friend. just the two of us. this girl just came up to us and started talking to me. hitting on me even after i told her i have a girlfriend. she said she didn't care. i ended up telling her to fuck off.

just yesterday i was on the phone with my girlfriend. my girlfriend lately have been making jokes about me with other girls. ever since she had this repeated dream that i cheated on her. its funny a lot of times but lately i think its been too much. which i let her know. i think its just her way of showing jealousy/wanting reassurance.

i ended up telling her about the girl hitting on me a long time ago. which does not happen a lot. i didn't tell her this until now because i didn't want her to think that i was "bragging" about it. she got upset and said that she thought this would be something i would tell her about. she was asking all these questions of when, where, how it happened.

i told her if she wants me to tell her these things from now on then i will, then she said its fine, if my initial instincts was not telling her about it, then i shouldn't change that. it is obvious that she's upset that i didn't tell her.

what do you think? was i wrong not to tell her about it? do you tell your girlfriend when a random girl hits on you? should you?
