Why is she making excuses to not have sex?

I was on this site with the same issue about 6 months ago. My girlfriend stopped having sex when we used to have a good sex life. At the time, her reason was that she’s on antidepressants and it kills her libido. I stayed by her side trying to be a good supportive boyfriend. But now her excuses are getting more and more pathetic.

Today she told me come over and we’ll have good sex. I went over and we did a lot. We went shopping, made dinner, worked out, and showered together. When it came time for sex she said the house is too cold to have sex. So I turned up the heat and we watched tv while waiting on the house to warm up. She fell asleep on the couch now saying she’s “too tired”. I’m really to cheat. Should I just drop this girl?

I don’t feel like a have a girlfriend. Feels like I’m hanging out with my sister.

Sexual compatibility can be a real relationship killer. Sorry but if someone is making all these excuses then it is highly likely I am just going to end the relationship based on a basic incompatibility.

Sex is one of the fundamental ways couples bring and experience intimacy in any relationship and if there is a huge difference in your libidos it doesn't matter if you love her to the core you will be constantly sacrificing your needs and desire to share intimacy on an on going basis.

Given your post, I suggest you have an open and honest conversation with her then decide if this relationship is truly one you want to be a part of. After 6 months, I would have already walked away and wished her the best and hope she finds what she is looking for in a relationship since I obviously wouldn't be it.

A woman never needs an excuse, alibi or any other justification not to have sex. If she prefers not to have intercourse, there are plenty of other methods to provide pleasure for her.

you guys sound compatible everywhere else but sex so have you like truly truly talked to her about it. like i mean expressing that it is a HUGE issue and you don't know if you can continue if you two don't start again

The fact that she has to come up with excuses rather than feel safe enough to just say “no” speaks for itself. Do both yourself and her a favour and break up. Cheating is scummy when you could easily just break up.

Two sides to every story. She could be the one that is "cheating". Such a subjective word that is hand in hand with that pesky jealousy. I don't know both sides of the story either so I don't have facts to back either side. This is my uneducated unneeded opinion.
