Is my boyfriend spending too much time with his family?

I'm not being controlling here, it's just that he's visiting his cousin in another state it's like 2 and half hours away. Him and his cousin barely talked, and now he wants to go as often as he can on his days off. It started with him visiting her and her two young kids. They didn't do nothing mainly stayed in the house but it's like that one trip made him want to keep going like almost every other week! Like her new boyfriend has an ankle monitor on and we don't know much about him. Her boyfriend picked up weed and my boyfriend can't smoke it because of his job. It just feels he made a quick attachment and he's trying to "impress" them. It just feels our time is cut short because he's visiting his cousin more. I'm worried they'll use him because he already mentioned stuff about money. Like his old friend borrowed a bunch of money from him and I have a bad feeling it might happen again with his cousin and her boyfriend.
