Reality bites.

Reality is that in the West, people who have been murdering in the name of a god are nearly always picking Allah as the benefactor of their mass violence. That's life. You might feel it's unfair. Perhaps wolves and lions and tigers feel it's unfair people view them as dangerous. However common sense isn't going to die so your feelings aren't hurt. Every mass murder and terror attack that happens with the perps shouting "allah ackbar!" just confirms this to every Westerner who has eyes and ears.

The problem is that almost all Muslims who have not turned atheists or changed religion, directly or indirectly support various Islamic practices which are plain wrong. I don't think Muslims are terrorists, but if you see various Islamic counties their regimes and culture is so oppressive that no one in his or her right mind would support it... Also they are unwilling to leave these Islamic practices when they move to other democratic and free countries. They think western women are sluts who deserve to be raped or are their to please them.

Then stop "sharing" the religion. I don't see any other religious adherents suicide bombing, or maiming people under sharia law. You're mistaken that terrorists are not motivated by their faith, because they are literally adhering to every aspect that the Quran teaches. They teach martyrdom, and the Ku Klux Klan wasn't born out of Christian theology, but racism and racial superiority and hatred for blacks. They didn't sincerely use any scripture to justify such an organization, and many Klansman and Neo nazis are atheists or Odinists. Definitely not the same thing as Jaish E Mohammed, Abu Sayyaf, Darul Islam, Jemaah Islamiya, ISIS, Al Shabab, Boko Haram, or the Taliban. All of which have a strict, literal, and well researched adherence to Islam and Islamic jurisprudence. They are not even close to the same thing, and all of their actions can be found in the so called "holy" Quran. Beheading of Jews, modeled after the Banu Qurayza behing beheaded personally by Muhammed and his armies, not to mention tortured for their riches. How about when they maim people for theft, or causing "mischief in the land." That's a personal favorite.

Some of cousins are Muslim (married into the family) and they are hounstly some of the nicest people I've met. I would never suspect them of being terrorists.

I did feel a bit uncomfortable because I was just at an 80's party before I met them and was dressed up with big hair and stuff... I was worried they'd think I was some crazy white person... but they didn't care and as I said were really nice.

They are basing their acts on the Quran. They are taking scripts from the book and acting accordingly. The religion of Islam has not gone through a reformation similar to Christianity. Until this happens, "peaceful" Muslims will be associated with terrorists.

NOWHERE in that definition says 'Muslims'. ANYONE regardless of race, religion, gender etc. can be a terrorist. not all of them are terrrorists saying that is wrong... however even the ones who never want to terrorise anyone still support the same causes/ideals these extremists have, they may not want to live in a place super religious like Iran, but they do want a country that is made up of 100% muslims without any other religion, this is just one example by the way.

And THAT is the key issue. No one really blames all muslims, but it is evident that within islamic followers there is a serious problem of violent extremists which isn't the case in other big religions.
