An Alternate Understanding of the Beatitudes

1) Blessed are those who are willing to acknowledge their ignorance and mistake for they will appreciate God’s love

2) Blessed are those who are willing to sacrifice for what they want for they will be comforted

3) Blessed are those who look within for contentment or satisfaction because they will inherit the earth

4) Blessed are those who pursue and celebrate virtue because they will be cared for

5) Blessed are the undemanding for they will be given weak demands by God and man

6) Blessed are those who cherish goodness because they will see majesty

7) Blessed are those who foster understanding because they will become stable in their faith and lives

8) Blessed are those who are wearied and burdened by their service to society, because their life is given the status of godliness

9) Blessed is your mind when you are criticized

10) Blessed is your spirit when you are refuted

11) Blessed is your reputation when you are betrayed

12) For great is your compensation in religion, for in the same way, they refuted the lovers of God you follow

13) So you will be like them when it happens to you
