In the same way that good trees produce good fruit and bad trees produce bad fruit, so good motives produce good results and corrupt motives produce corrupt results, at least id you are willing to put in the necessary work and sacrifice to make your motives a result yielding reality. When I thought initially that I wanted to succeed so I could help others, I came up with a lot of progress on my personal projects but when I later thought I wanted to succeed so I could enjoy a big house and go on vacation and slack off by hiring service industries to do my work, my projects went busy, I could not keep an idea together and I lost all self-direction and clarity and guidance, from that I realized that if I want good results, I must have good motives, than I can get the results I want.

As in John 15:2, as you go through life living under His care, He will cause the unproductive parts of your life (vine) to be pruned so that you will be more fruitful to yourself, to others, but mostly to Him.

It's a coincidence.

I've always cared about other people and god doesn't do anything but let the people I help (literally) burn my house down and ruin my life.

I don't believe in God. But I have at points. I have really tried. I have never wanted to be rich or selfish. I want to build adorable houses for poor people because I've never had a place to live.

God doesn't reward good people with good motivates. I went hungry for months and still can't pay my rent.

Mark Zuckerberg owns a super yaght. Kim Jong owns a whole country.

I think it's great that you believe in God. But don't think that doing the right thing for the right reason and having food on your plate have anything to do with eachother.

I want to believe that... But seriously, just look around and you won't. There is no reward for doing the right thing. God rewards selfishness and evil, or just takes absolutely no action. He doesn't reward good people and punish bad ones. If he did, we wouldn't have billionaires who only care about themselves running the entire world.

I have always wanted to help others more than myself. I literally had a mansion to myself that I could afford at 24. I let struggling black people in to split the rent for almost nothing ($150 a month for a room way bigger than mine and $600 a month for a room bigger than some people's whole houses with it's own bathroom)

They robbed me, smashed my shit up and threatened to murder me and my cat. We fled for our lives, they literally burned the house down like a month later.

Since then I have had nothing. If there is a god, he does not reward good or punish bad. He sits back and laughs while thieves and tyrants take what they want and the government only stops people who actually want to do good.

The stuff you post is really uplifting, but you should know that doing the right thing because you want to help others is more likely to get you chased out of your own house than a reward. God doesn't care about us. You have to take care of yourself.

Beautiful piece. Personally, I know it is not bad to have dreams or lofty dreams and to want comfort. Just ensure, He approves of them. God wants us to have the best of everything but with a attitude of trust in Him and contentment to wait for His timing and means.

Things only got worse.

My theory is that some people have good easy lives so they believe in God, they look around and see people suffering who don't believe in God and say "see, God helps me"

When in reality, some people just have it easy.
