How I understand the salt that loses its saltiness

To me the salt in the bible is a symbol for religious sacrifices and the salt that loses its flavour is the religious sacrifice that loses its holiness. This might involve Christians who oppose the vaccine because they think it’s the mark of the beast or Christians who are unwilling to socially distance when visiting a church with seniors and children in attendance or Christians who want to bomb Muslim nations for not sharing their faith.

Religion is a tool that makes the good intentioned holy but when your religion loses its holiness, how can your religion make you religious in a way that God would be happy with? Your religion might corrupt you if your religion is corrupted by non-religious ideas such as a worship of sacrificial animals or a worship of human sacrifice. So to me, salt that loses its saltiness is religion that loses its holiness.
