What the bible says about accessing joy

The bible says he who tills his land will have abundant food but he who chase fantasies lacks judgment:

To me, this means those willing to endure the exhaustion, drudgery, monotony and demands of an unpleasant and unhappy job will be given abundant joy and happy indulgences, whether that involves a vacation to Hawaii, a supermodel wife, steak and lobster tail dinners or 12 cats and dogs in a nice mansion.

When I was in high school and too young to work a job, God rewarded me for my hard work by filling my soul with an extreme euphoric joy that was intoxicating and elevating, better than drugs like crystal meth or cocaine, it was like a neurosurgeon had given me a magical happy pill every time I praised God.

The bible says, God rewards happiness to those willing to sacrifice their happiness to fulfill familial, social and employable duties.

Here's the catch. God says that he's only going to pay up after you die." Blessed are the meek for they shall go to heaven " or something I forget the full verse.


My life has sucked through and through, sure some people have it worse then me, but those very same people often have what I lack and desire.

Once met an utterly horrible person, definitely in a good position, but he wasn't alone, and I envyed the fact he had someone willing to walk beside him as he went through his hell.
