The No Risk policy of the 4 Gospels

The bible teaches you must try to love and forgive everyone, even those who appear unworthy of your love and forgiveness, because one day God might test you by putting a righteous person in your path who deserves your love and forgiveness but has the appearance of somebody that does not deserve your love and forgiveness, and if you mistreat or harm them, all your righteous deeds will be erased in atonement for the debt you now owe God, which is why we must try to give people the benefit of the doubt and love them, even if it looks as if they are totally undeserving of us, unless of course your health or morals are at risk, in which case, choosing safety and self interest over your friends is not a crime.
