My evolving definition of the Christian Sabbath

For me, the sabbath involves choosing one day out of the week, in which you have the time and opportunity, to meditate on the 10 commandments and avoid money making activities for a full 24 - 48 hours, if it’s done properly, it should be just as difficult as a full day of manual labour or intellectual labour, because it involves exercising your spirit, in brokenness and piety and sombreness.

And it is difficult to do every day, but once a week of continuous meditation is manageable for experienced believers, and for some, it might also involve a technology detox where you replace your digital bible with a paper copy etc… but as Christians, keeping the sabbath is optional, the date is optional, and the spacing between rest days is flexible, because you don’t choose the day of your airplane ride or the day of your doctors appointment, so these things are flexible according to your needs, that’s my personal take it.
