I'd say anyone who spends time studying a wealth of religions would know they're not all fundamentally the same. Many do have similarities within them, but they're not the same.
@Sesiero The foundation of Christianity is that Jesus is the son of God and died for our sins to give us everlasting life. All the different denominations within Christianity believe it—we differ on other ideas, but that one is held constant. Otherwise you’re not a Christian, because you can’t take Christ out of Christian
You dudes are idiots. Edgy people like you on the internet are the ones who can't be left alone in a room together. Here in America, even Christians and Jews get along FINE. Religious people are so used to dealing with idiots, that these days just agreeing on a Biblical worldview is good enough for many.
Humans aren't rational friend. You aren't either I'm sure, there's almost certainly something (probably many things) you believe in that don't have a rational basis. And honestly, irrationality that makes someone happier is better than rationality that doesn't improve life satisfaction or happiness at all, at least according to my personal irrational values.
Irrationality can also cause a lot of damage, like in the case of religious fanatics who kill people in the name of their god. Good people will always do good things and bad people will always do bad things, but religion is a popular way for bad people to justify their actions and to make good people do bad things.
That's not irrationality, that's a lack of empathy. Rationality can justify awful things as well. And again, we all have blind faith in something (though I doubt we'd call it blind- even religious people believe they have justification for their faith). Like your "good things" vs "bad things" paradigm- what makes something good or bad, exactly?
There's ample evidence that religion can do good too- both for individual people (providing a community, assisting mental health, etc) and for a community (charity work). Religion is to some degree really just a more institutionalized version of social control- instead of saying that people should be nice to each other\follow social rules just because, it attributes those rules to a higher power. And while that kind of system can be used for bad purposes, it can be used for good as well, and honestly more often is.
Ironically christianity stole most of its stories and holidays from other religions. Even the story of jesus was around before jesus himself with the Greek and Roman (I can remember the names of their "jesus" right now) but it's the same thing. Son of Zeus/Jupiter, was killed and reborn 3 days later, blah blah blah. The just turned other religions into their own version and then claimed theirs to be the best (kinda like apple and everything they "invented")
Why would you follow a version of God that was so out of touch with his creation his own son decided to die to appease his animosity for the human race?
Ya that a 100% truth that all religions are fundamentally the same bcz how ever they may have started the end believe or the goal are same for all "peace, property, preaching and spread of a good name"
Morals are the same. Be kind, even when other can not. I believe individually a religion in practice is wrong, but when combined with something real its an idealistic, philosophical, nonsensical, game.

It depends how you look at it, whether you view the journey as more important than the end, or vice versa
No, all religions are not the same.
Most religions have some common concepts, but there are also enormous differences.
They were all made by males with limited knowledge, as a set of rules for life in society and to accept hierarchy.
Thus it's not astonishing that they're very similar.
All religions are equal. They teach the same kinds of stories from different points of view.
No because only one religion has Jesus which died for our sins
These days it's 30000+
Heh.. thats funny. Get a Baptist, a Protestant, and a Catholic in the same room to talk about religion. Throw in a Lutheran in for good measure.
@Sesiero and they’ll all say that Jesus died for our sins. Thanks for enforcing my point
@Sesiero... with a pinch of Methodist and a dip if Mormon for flavour...
@Dchrls78104 again they’ll all agree with me. Thanks
If thats for less than a minute, sure. Let them stay in that room for 20 mins to talk about religion and the bloodbath usually begins.
@Sesiero Narrow it down a bit. Don't let them talk about religion. Let them talk about Jesus.

When you study Christianity deeply, you will learn it has tremendous differences from the others.
You must be sinner. not we
I broke my leg so my friend wouldn't get on trouble with the cops :)

Yes, because they are all based on irrational thought. Not judging anyone who believes, just stating facts.

I'm not asking for people to be perfectly rational all the time. I just want people to strive for logical thinking rather than blind faith.

No. Most of them attempt to achieve roughly the same goals. That's not equal to being the same.
They all exist to console people's fear of death and give them meaning where there is none.
They are commonly used by the powerful to manipulate the behaviors of lesser will people as well.
*lesser willed
Yes I do. They are all the same at the roots. Even religions with many gods vs one god
Yes the begini g and ending is same diversification is on only in between to set up boundried

Yes they are
They all wear funny hats
They all believe in a higher power because they're afraid to die
No, fear of death is not the issue. You have much to learn, young padawan.
Why would you follow a version of God that was so out of touch with his creation his own son decided to die to appease his animosity for the human race?

Yea i agree they all are the sane in a sense that it helps bring peace to your mind and sets the tone for what we consider to be right and wrong
Religion is pretty useless in my opinion. It cultivates superstitions and pseudoscience.
I can see how it used to have a purpose throughout history, but I don't believe it is all that necessary anymore.
Yes they are... because their function is the same in every society
No they are very different. Except the three abrahamic ones. Those are obviously very similar.
No I don’t. Some religions are devoid of the truth and are immoral
