My grandfather passed away today. would you pray for him?😭😢?

Yes I just said a prayer for him, and yes the horrible sadness you feel now will subside, I had the priveledhe of knowing both my grandfather's, when I was 14 my paternal grand father passed by heart failure, I went to the funeral but there was an open casket thing the night before which I did not attend. I did not want to see him dead. When I was 12 my mother's dad had a massive stroke we went to see him, I went the first day, but my grandfather was almost completely paralyzed, he was unable to speak and when we went in he started crying, that was it , so did I and I couldn't stop, we discovered he was able to squeeze a hand and he could respond to yes/no questions by squeeze 1 for yes 2 for no, I "talked to him that way for as long as I could but he needed to rest,
At this point in my life it's one of 2 regrets I have because he lived for another 5 days , and while the rest of the family went everyday I wasn't willing to return, at some point that first day I realized he was conscious and clear minded , just trapped in a body that no longer worked. On the 6th day I was going to make myself go, but he had passed in the night.
It took awhile to accept that he probably knew why I hadn't returned ( I'm starting to tear up even now) and it finally became an acceptable thing in my mind.

I want to KNOW your grandfather and the only way I can do that is through you. Trust me on this - it will make you feel better to tell us about his life and the kind of person he was.
