Its gray area. Both can't exist without each other. While one fancys in mystery and magic. The other riddles itself with words and numbers, sometimes face diving onto a concrete wall labeled fancy magic.
Why do they need to be compatible in the first place?
Science makes guns, religion tells you who not to use them against.
That's just a dumb theory cooked up by Athiests. Christianity gave birth to modern science. That's a historical fact in many ways.
Remember there are two forms of science, one is the theory of evolution and one is theory of creation. So it really depends which side of science one believes
Not at all. The pope made statements of nature and evolution are gods powers working. Scientists say they can explain thins up to the point that they feel God is responsible because otherwise there is no explanation
I don’t believe that for one second. I’m religious and teach Science.
Just the opposite. Science and Christianity are very much compatible.
"The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you."
- Werner Heisenberg
Adam and eve plot is contradicting with science, so it don't seems compatible.
Not necessarily. But many religions make claims that are incompatible with science.
I actually think they're inseparable. Everyone wants to disassociate them but they compliment and fill in the gaps that each is missing.
Religion is a concept made by people. Science is a concept made by people.
You'd think they can coexist, but because of people, they cannot.
In conclusion, people suck.
They are compatible.
I can only talk about Christianity but the Bible version of how the world was created is currently considered to be metaphorical.
Only when religion says science is wrong based on a book written two thousand years ago.. That's a special kind of stupid.
I happen to believe in both. Science and evolution is real, but breaking science all the way down to the beginning of time and the Big Bang and single cell organisms.. is such a marvel deserving of the existence of a higher power, absolutely.
I’ll let Carl Sagan take this one
Science is not only compatible with spirituality; it is a profound source of spirituality.
Yes, they are incompatible because science uses reason and logic to prove things and religion uses fear and no proof.
They aren't incompatible they just are two completely different things
No they are not 2 different things. How is then religion interfering in science?
By definition they are completely different.
science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
Religion is defined as the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.
No.
The key thing people don't realize is that science is constantly changing, and in truth, is just another philosophy of life.
You can't believe in angels and demons and science at the same time.
No. Science just hasn't caught up to religion that's all.
Yeah pretty much.. Religions are ancient and science keeps developing with time..
Yes, ultimately it’s two different trains of thought. Either you look for evidence for your beliefs, or your feelings.
You meant to ask “Are Science and belief in god incompatible?” Religion and belief in god are two separate things. The first one doesn’t cross paths with science.
No, Albert Einstein all way says he copy from God of Abraham
It's just looking at the same thing from completely opposite directions,,,
Yeah, realistic perception Vs unrealistic fairytale perception, it's amazing so many people go with the latter... But a lot of humans are dumb af so it's no surprise really
yes, Science simply proves that religion is unnecessary
The true teachings of Christ encompasses sciences. True Sciences are part of nature.
Which teachings would those be specifically?
@Subarugirl I have been studying theology for many years. There are many faiths that teach, example LDS faith. You may have Google any other information you need.
No, which teachings of Christ encompassed the sciences?
They seem compatible to me as a Christian. No issues.
Sometimes science finds things that religion discovered years ago
Short and best answer.
Nope, never. One is real and the other is all made up.
Nope science has proven religious beliefs over and over again.
Incorrect
someone said that if humans are evolved from money why moneys are still around? I think that answer a lot of question
Religion is how most of us are controlled. Science is either fact or in search of it
No, I think it is our understandings of both are incompatible.
Yes, and science and politics as well.
Not at all. Science is of God, dogmas of satan
They don't seem to be.
No. I feel like for the most part they coincide.
Nope science proves religion to be true
Religion is anti science
No religion is religion and science is science. They are two completely different things.
@Subarugirl Lol religious people hate science just look at MAGA 😂
The definition of science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. They don't hate science... they just don't agree with anything that doesn't align with their world view.
Yes because religions are bullshit.
In your opinion.
@Daniela1982 They actually are. They defy any kind of logic and have been nothing but a tool to control people and keep them subdued for millennia.
True science and Christianity are compatible
If you say God created science
No, as long as boundaries aren’t crossed
I don't think there is any reason to think that.
no. evolution is only a theory.
And Allah is real?
@Vivaldi not muslim.
The opposite is true.
Look no more than faucie gov cdc
Abrahamic religions and science are incompatible
Diffrent methods, same goals.
Not at all God created everything
Yeap
They can be but no
Not at all.
Absolutely.
I don't.
not at all
NO...
They shouldn't be.
Fuck no
Nope.
