I don’t want to fully reveal my age but I’m between the ages of 18-28, I’m Middle Eastern, I was born a muslim however I was not educated and taught much about Islam growing up so I was basically like a revert teaching myself everything and educating myself and I chose to stay muslim after all my research I did about Islam. I see it as a blessing to be a part of such a beautiful religion.

Islams beginnings was with Muhammad uniting the Arabic tribes and invading a war exhausted Byzantine and Persian Empire.
You are absolutely correct that there is different types of Islam but only "one islam" but look at it like this. The majority of Muslims are within the middle east and they subscribe to the type of islam that you claim you are not, thankfully however a westernized Islam is exactly how it will pan out as it did with Christianity. You can see this through how first generation muslims come to Europe being very strict but their children drink, do drugs and engage in hook up culture.

I understand what your saying and honestly I love reading people’s opinions and thoughts it helps me both educate and be educated about topics, what you said about Middle Eastern North African Islam , I’m actually Middle Eastern and I believe most of the behaviour that these people take part in are because of culture not religion for example these Middle Eastern North African people don’t give the women their Islamic rights and twist the religion and follow whatever suits them then people from outside see it as muslim women get oppressed when they do not and actually the issue is people not following Islam correctly because if they did follow islam correctly they would see how peaceful Islam is and how much freedom there is
