Is it against christianity for a christian guy to be with a muslim woman? What do they do?

we haven't talked about religion yet been talking for 2 months. Its going to come up soon. he knows im not super strict dont wear hijab or anything. He wears a cross I compliment it. I heart his stories about christianity and tell him its great when he goes to church. I think its fine personally if we both have our religions. If he rlly wants me to convert I would. I think there is a lot of similarities with the religions. I would want our kids to be mixed take the beauty in both religions.

What does christianity even say about inter religious marriages? obv we haven't even been talking for long but... its against islam I know but idc lol.

It's not against Christianity for a Christian to be with a Muslim but there are warnings about being unequally yoked. There's also the command to make disciples of all nations... that would be problematic in a relationship.

That said, it's a really rough road to travel. You lose an entire level of intimacy when a couple cannot worship together and there are a whole raft of problems if you end up in a long term relationship particularly when it comes to children.

It can work. I'm not saying it can't or not to do it. But it's HARD. Relationships are already really difficult even if the partners are one religion or both have no religion.

no problem! I hope it works out. I really like him. I am not the best Muslim girl but I know Catholicism would prob not be against a good girl like me, one who doesn't drink, smoke, and is a virgin. He is the opposite of me but is trying to better himself. I can help him. I hope he sees that.

I don't know about other denominations. For Catholicism you can marry outside your religion if you promise to raise your children Catholic.

Yes it is. I assume when you say "with" you mean marriage or something serious.

Any children they possibly have together will be split in their family teaching. One parent will teach the child that Jesus is the son of God, the messiah, (Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.) and one parent teaching them that Jesus is NOT the messiah and that you can get to heave apart from Jesus and he was just some regular man or a prophet at best. One parent teaches faith in the gospel and one teaching to reject the gospel.

But as with every other topic in the bible, there are contradictory answers to your question. In some instances, it says not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers and in others it says marrying a non believer will make them holy and allow the children to be.

My opinion? Get over religious superstition. It is no different to believing any other myth such as those of the Greeks, Romans, Scandinavians, Australian Aborigines, Native Americans, Africans etc. Marry who you want to marry and don't make choices based on archaic beliefs.

If I am not mistaken, an Orthodox in the Orthodox sect can only marry another Orthodox. cannot marry someone from another denomination (Catholic, Protestant) or religion (Jewish, Muslim). but the interesting thing is that there are many Russian and Ukrainian women who marry Turkish men.
