When the global awareness rises to the point were everyone understands that material gain is just a manifestation of consciousness. At that point it can no longer be an ego thing. To have a bottle of water or a breath of air is not impressive because everyone can have such things. This is also true of anything else in life; anyone and everyone can have it all.

Mhhh... Maybe in 50 years? I feel like our age group and Gen Z will need to age out of society before the materialism starts to fade.

Our lives are desperate, but we are old enough to remember how things were. People younger than us won't have that same struggle.
